The intendant of Vicente López, Soledad Martínez, supervised the progress in the renewal of the Green Guard of the Houssay Hospital. The work consists of enhancing the value of the space, with the aim of providing better care for the neighbors.
The Green Guard offers 24-hour medical care in surgery, medical clinic, traumatology, gynecology and mental health services. In this space, care is ensured according to the severity of the patient and swabs are made for those with symptoms of COVID-19.
Mayor Soledad Martínez stated: “Hospital Houssay is a place of reference for our entire region. We are advancing with the works in the guard of this hospital, where in this area alone, almost 8,000 residents pass each month to be treated.
“We are improving the spaces to serve our neighbors. This is part of a work plan that we started a few years ago with Jorge Macri and the entire Health team. Year after year we continue to incorporate new equipment for neighbors and doctors and improve each service of this hospital”, added the community chief.
For his part, the Secretary of Health, Andrés Scarsi, pointed out: “It is a very important work because it highlights the investment plan of the municipality in terms of health. It is not only a guard but also to have a hospital in better conditions, incorporation of personnel, technology and a network of services of a very high level”.
The works are part of the municipal works plan for the Houssay Hospital. A new ward for adults, a new pediatric ward, and the enhancement of hematology, traumatology, ophthalmology and outpatient services have already been incorporated.
In addition, the complete renovation of the Yellow Sector of the Guard was carried out and equipment was added for tomography services, monitors and endoscopes, cardiology ultrasound, infusion pumps and electric beds for the ICU and UCO.
