The bidding process for the construction of the new Tajamar sewage collector began
Within the framework of the Federal Plan for Potable Water and Sanitation, the national government, together with the Government of La Rioja through the Ministry of Water and Energy, began the bidding process for the work “Construction of a new Tajamar sewage collector”.
The project, which will be carried out by the Ministry of Water and Energy of the province, is designed in two ways, on the one hand, to optimize the current sewer service and, at the same time, to increase the transport capacity due to the need to provide feasibility of service to new urban sectors, expanding the coverage of the sewage collection system and responding to the population growth of the city of La Rioja.
This work was managed by Governor Ricardo Quintela before the Ministry of Public Works of the Nation and the National Entity of Public Works and Sanitation, together with its owner, Enrique Cresto, and committed by President Alberto Fernández during his visit to our province. , which will allow optimizing and expanding the service to the neighborhoods located in the Center, West and North areas of the Capital City.
The official budget is $600,469,294.01, with national financing through ENOHSA, benefiting approximately 77,000 inhabitants of the capital city and is expected to be completed within 18 months.
Work description:
This project includes the construction of the New Tajamar Sewer Collector, which will serve as a replacement for the existing collector, where the original layout of the current collector is partially modified, in order to allow the entry of those from recently developed urban sectors, expanding the limits current coverage of the northern basin.
The work includes the installation of a total of 14,500 meters of pipes that vary in diameter from 315 to 750 mm, and that it is planned to build in certain sections to be enabled following a logical sequence of execution, reducing the interference times of the drainage service current sewers that must remain in operation during the construction of the work.
In parallel with these works, the execution of ducts that will be linked at different points with the existing home network and the execution of a total of 143 manholes will be developed as part of the work.
Lastly, with these works it will be possible to link the existing network in the Francisco I neighborhood to the maximum collector of the city, for which 463 m of PEAD Ø 600 mm pipe will be installed and the execution of 5 manholes.
