The Railway Infrastructure Administration (ADIF) tendered the renovation of the surroundings of the Villa Rosa, Manuel Alberti, Tortuguitas, Tierras Altas, Pablo Nogués, Don Torcuato and Vice Admiral Montes of the Belgrano Norte Railway.
As reported on the specialized site enelSubte.com, the objective is to transform the station environments into "accessible and safe circulation places for residents with the generation of new places that includes the placement of new benches, tables and waste baskets."
The tasks also include cleaning, leveling and landscaping work with native species, the placement of new LED lights, the installation of a new rhomboid wire fence, the execution of split stone flooring on the perimeter of the new recreational sector and the preparation of walls of masonry for the later execution of murals.
The works come to complement the renovation already carried out at the branch stations, which included the raising of the platforms, the repair -or replacement- of existing shelters and the installation of new ones. New ticket offices were also enabled and turnstiles were placed.
Of the 22 stations on the branch, Saldías, Grand Bourg, Tierras Altas, Tortuguitas (it would be inaugurated in the next few days), Manuel Alberti and the Panamericana station, whose works were recently awarded, are still pending renovation. The last renewed stations to be rehabilitated to service were Vicealmirante Montes and Del Viso, although the latter was the only one on the entire line not to receive new shelters, which has been generating complaints from users, since they must wait for the train in the open .
