Work Detail | After more than three years flying from the Tri Cities is now construction free. The Tri Cities Regional Airport hosted a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the terminal front improvement project. Of the $6.2 million project, $5.7 million came from federal and state grants. A little less than a 100,000 was passed on to passengers. It includes improvements to the sidewalks, more parking spaces and smoother traffic flow in front of the main terminal. "It's really a project that the airport authority approached in a way to make our terminal roadways a little safer a little more efficient, better drop off areas for passengers," said Executive Director of Tri Cities Airport Authority. Last year, the airport wrapped-up renovations inside the terminal, including new restrooms and a passenger boarding bridge. |
