The envelopes were opened and there are three offers for the public tender for the first stage that will include the remodeling and integral improvements of the El Préstamo campsite and the creation of a water park.
After 30 years, the Cabra Corral Dam will finally undergo improvement and restructuring works.
The act of opening the envelopes of the public tender for the first stage of the enhancement of the Cabra Corral Dam, headed by Governor Gustavo Sáenz, presented three economic offers corresponding to the companies UTE Ceyba SRL and Serviobras SRL. Arroyo Mannori Construcciones y Asociados SRL; Juan Pedro Garin Construcciones SA.
In the case of the Cabra Corral dam, Sáenz recalled that it had been intervened for the last time more than 30 years ago “and today we are taking an important step to enhance its value with works that are scheduled to end in November of this year. so that Salta families and tourists can enjoy it during the summer”.
The works
Minister Dib Ashur was in charge of detailing the works that will be carried out on the El Loan campsite, located in 30,110m2 and which is currently in a state of abandonment and total deterioration. It will intervene in 4 sectors: grills, camping, gastronomic and social sector and the pool.
They include the construction of a perimeter fence of the property in general and the water park in particular, the creation of entrances and reinforcements of retaining walls in terraces and grills, the delimitation of parking lots and tent areas, the demolition of the dining room and grills, plus the creation of perimeter sidewalks and observation terraces to the dike with deckchairs and chairs, the installation of two bathrooms and a dry plaza around a new SUM and a store, motorhome sector. The dismantling of a bridge and the creation of an embankment to join the water park with the property are other works to be carried out.
Water park
Dib Ashur specified that the new water park will be designed by adding a six-fold water tower to the existing pool. There will also be a pool with mushrooms and aquatic mangrullo, a pool with internal divisions and different types of jets for hydromassages.
A pool with two water slides, a sector with water jets, another with childrens games, a kamikaze slide and a double roller slide, among other attractions, will be added to the complex.
This sector will also have a solarium sector with folding chairs, in addition to placing concrete tables and benches under the trees as a rest and snack area. Landscaping tasks, installation of dumpsters and lighting will also be carried out.
next stage
The second stage will be carried out with financing from the IDB through the Sustainable Tourism Development program, which was negotiated this week with the authorities of the financial entity in Buenos Aires, Governor Sáenz and Minister Dib Ashur. The construction of an eco-island and Puerto Unico is projected.
In the case of the Single Port, with an area of ??approximately 4 hectares, there will be general interventions such as improvement and consolidation of access to the peninsula, creation of a car park, an administrative and information center, an Interpretation Center, a catamaran port, a dock floating and nursery of boats and equipment for different water activities.
It also includes an Administrative and Information Center with ticket office, confectionery, shopping center, battery of bathrooms, among other services.
The planned ecological island will be arranged in approximately 42 hectares. The interventions contemplate the creation of an embankment for access to the island; perimeter circuit suitable for pedestrian, vehicular and cyclist circulation; administrative point and reports, car parking, floating docks for boats and viewpoints. As for the activities that will be offered, it includes an air park, horseback riding, among others.
Also present were the Deputy Governor Antonio Marocco, the Minister of Tourism and Sports Mario Peña, the Secretary of Financing and Financial Planning Liliana Corona, the Secretary of Planning Laura Caballero, legislators, representatives of the bidding companies, among others.
