Bidding envelopes were opened for the resurfacing of Route 6, in the Villa Berthet – San Bernardo section. Six bidding companies were presented for the execution of the work, which contemplates the improvement of 25 kilometers and has a base budget of $723,741,244 financed by Fonplata.
The project is located on the section of provincial route No. 6 between national route 95 in the vicinity of the town of San Bernardo and provincial route 4 in the town of Villa Berthet, it is circumscribed within the departments of OHiggins and San Lorenzo.
The resurfacing of this section will be key to optimizing and strengthening road connectivity, by allowing the circulation mesh between Route 4 and National Route No. 95 to be closed. The project will include pothole works throughout the section, construction of the entire section of a fine asphalt concrete base, crack moderator and the subsequent execution of asphalt concrete in different thicknesses, culverts, and horizontal and vertical signage. In addition to the installation of docks and passenger shelters and the construction of sidewalks in the Access to Villa Berthet, metal railings.
