The 2022/01 bidding process begins to supply the energy needs of regulated customers of the National Electric System from the year 2027 for a period of 15 years. The award will be made in the summer. Today, Thursday, February 10, the National Energy Commission (CNE) of Chile will make the public call for tenders for the supply of energy and electrical power 2022/01, which will auction 5,250 GWh to supply the energy needs of regulated customers of the Electric System National, from the year 2027, for 15 years. As reported by the CNE on its website, after the publication of the definitive bases, the process now contemplates a consultation period by the participants until April 1 of this year and contemplates, in turn, a maximum period to make rectifications. , amendments or additions to the bases of the electricity supply tender by the CNE until next May 2. Within the framework of the law, the National Energy Commission is responsible for designing, coordinating and directing the public bidding process for next year, under the legal obligation to ensure that electricity distribution companies have long-term supply contracts for satisfy the consumption of its customers subject to price regulation (residential consumers and SMEs) with a minimum anticipation of 5 years, favoring competition, achieving competitive prices and promoting the entry of clean energy for the benefit of Chilean families. In accordance with the program defined in the final bidding conditions, which considers sufficient clearance to accommodate modifications and rectifications until next May, the presentation of the proposals in principle would be on July 1 by the national and international generating companies. The public act of adjudication would take place on July 25, 2022 if the process is concluded in its first stage, or failing that, on August 1, 2022 if the process is concluded in its second auction stage. |
