Work Detail The Brazilian subsidiary of the Spanish multinational offers recharging infrastructure solutions for residential, commercial and business customers who want to electrify their fleets. Neoenergia, a subsidiary in Brazil of the Spanish multinational Iberdrola, has signed a contract with WEG and will exclusively use the charging stations of the Brazilian manufacturer for its electric mobility solutions. The recharging stations for electric vehicles offered in the association are the WEMOB (WEG Electric Mobility) line, developed and manufactured in the country. All models have energy measurement and are smart, with an open communication protocol, internet connection and recharge management platforms. Neoenergias electric mobility solutions are aimed at residential, commercial and business customers who want to electrify their fleets. The available solutions satisfy various applications, with products of different configurations as required by the customer, including technical study and installation. The companys electric mobility solutions are present in eight states – São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Sergipe, Alagoas, Pernambuco, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte – and in the Federal District and will soon be throughout the country. Recharging stations with a power of 7.4 kW are offered and can be powered by single-phase or two-phase networks (127 or 220V). This is the ideal model for residences or condominiums. There are also 22 kW power chargers. These points have one or two outlets, and can recharge two electric vehicles simultaneously. With a 3-phase power of 220 V or 380 V, it is intended for individual or shared use in companies or trades. Both models work with a type 2 connector, the most common on the market. The Ecosystem of solutions includes, in addition to the recharging stations, a management platform for the collection or apportionment of the consumption of each user, controlled access through proximity cards (RFID tags) and a demand control system – WEMOB Smart Charging System – for cases in which the power consumed by the station exceeds the demand contracted at the installation site. “Our association with Neoenergia seeks to promote and strengthen projects related to solutions for recharging electric vehicles and business models related to sustainable energy solutions. We want not only to advance our strategy of making electric mobility a reality in Brazil, but also to structurally serve the entire chain necessary for the viability of electric vehicles”, explains Manfred Peter Johann, CEO of WEG Automação. sustainable mobility Sales of electrified vehicles in Brazil between January and October 2021 increased by 74% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching more than 27,000 units. Given these figures, the Brazilian Association of Electric Vehicles (ABVE) predicts that registration will have exceeded 30,000 units in 2021. To stimulate this increase, Neoenergia invests in expanding the recharging infrastructure. The company implemented the Green Corridor, an electric highway with more than 1,100 kilometers in length between Bahia and Rio Grande do Norte, with 18 recharging points for electric vehicles, twelve along highways and six in shopping centers located in Salvador, Recife and Native. The project is part of the R&D program, regulated by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL).
