Work Detail The project built by Eudora Energia has 0.5 MW of power and is located at Cesps (Companhia Energetica de Sao Paulo) UHE Porto Primavera. The Brazilian company Eudora Energia began in 2017 the construction of an R&D project of the National Electric Energy Agency of Brazil (Aneel) together with Cesp (Companhia Energetica de Sao Paulo), to implement a solar thermal power plant in the Porto hydroelectric plant Spring. "In 2021 we will finish the construction of the plant, which has 30,000 m2 of parabolic mirrors for electricity generation," explains Eudora Energia, adding that the plant is the first solar thermal plant in Brazil. Before the end of January, the company will put the 0.5 MW power project into operation. The construction of the plant has required an investment of 49 million reais (nearly 9 million dollars), from Aneels Strategic Research and Development Program, which began in 2017. "We are also developing heliothermal technology for Eletrosul, which will implement a plant with parabolic mirrors at the Passo São João HPP, in Rio Grande do Sul, through Aneels R&D investments", concludes the company.
