The new citizen focus of the Open Data site with an inter-agency comparator and the details of its acquisitions together with the schedule of the election process for the new Cosoc were the central points of this new session.
In a new session of the ChileCompra Civil Society Council, held this Wednesday, August 25, the representatives of civil society learned about the progress made on the improvements to the Open Data site, which will contain friendly visualizations with a citizen focus. On the occasion, the details of the processing in Congress of the project that modernizes public procurement and the schedule of the election process for the new Board of Directors were also provided.

On the occasion, the details of the processing of the project that modernizes public procurement and the schedule of the election process for the new Board of Directors were also provided.
Within the framework of the Open Government 2020-2022 action plan, which has transparency, participation, accountability and the use of innovation and technology as its pillars, it is working together with civil society at a work table, which leads 6 of 10 monthly sessions held and whose progress was presented at the session by the Head of the ChileCompra Business Studies and Intelligence Division, Gabriela Lazo. On the occasion, they reported on the various improvements in data visualizations promoting an intuitive site based on a simpler site design that answers common questions from civil society about public procurement. Among the novelties, there is a data sheet for the purchasing body and a comparative sheet between purchasing bodies.
Regarding the progress on the Bill, Ricardo Miranda, ChileCompra Prosecutor, presented the main milestones of the process where he highlighted the beginning of the discussion in the Senate on Tuesday 24 after having passed through the Finance Commission of the Chamber of Deputies and voting in the Chamber, where 10 indications were approved. Among the main topics presented by the parliamentarians, he highlighted the SME Seal in public purchases and the Agile Purchase, preferably for MSMEs.
Likewise, he presented the main stages and actions of the next electoral process for the renewal of the Cosoc ChileCompra, whose online elections will be held on November 4 and 5, 2021. It also reports on the main modifications of the COSOC Regulation that, in order to be in In line with the current regulations of other Cosocs and at the present time, it includes criteria of parity, regionalization and conflicts of interest. Finally, from August 30 to September 28, a form will be published on the institutional website www.chilecompra.cl for the registration of non-profit organizations that are interested in being part of the next Cosoc ChileCompra for the next 4 years.
