Informed sources revealed that the Minister of Electricity and Water Dr. Muhammad Al-Faris asked the leaders of the ministry to prepare a detailed report on all projects that are being implemented by the different sectors, and those that are supposed to be implemented during the next phase, and to determine the position of each project. The sources told «Al-Qabas» that Al-Fares demanded the necessity of indicating the completion rates and delays in the projects under implementation and the measures taken against the contractors of those projects to preserve the public money, indicating that the report is expected to be submitted to him within days. On the other hand, the Ministry stated that Al-Fares discussed today the final report, which was prepared by the technical team in charge of preparing the vision for meeting the demand for energy and water during the period from 2020 to 2040, according to the data affecting the demand. She explained that Al-Fares listened to an extensive explanation about the plan, which was supervised by a team that includes specialists in the fields of energy and statistics from Kuwait University, the Public Authority for Applied Education and the Ministry. She pointed out that the plan includes the establishment of a research team in the ministry whose task is to conduct studies on energy demand in the coming years and follow up on what is being implemented in this regard, noting that the minister expressed his satisfaction with the water situation and meeting his own demand in light of the current large strategic reserve, which exceeds 4 billion imperial gallons, as well as plans to increase the Ministrys capacity in terms of production and storage. She indicated that the team also provided a vision about the process of modernizing boilers and distillers in the stations, in order to reduce the cost to the state according to modern technologies that will be introduced during the next stage.
