Spinnaker Support, an IT service management company, said that it has been approved by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) to take part in the UK government’s G-Cloud 12 framework. The company is engaged in providing Oracle and SAP third-party support and managed services. It has been selected by Crown Commercial Service in the lot 3 cloud support of the government framework for offering cloud support to British public sector organisations. Crown Commercial Service is the trading fund of the UK Cabinet office. It works on behalf of the UK government in bringing in efficiency in procurement across public entities. The G-Cloud 12 framework, which it had made live recently, is said to offer a straightforward and compliant way for public sector organisations to buy hosting, software, and support, and other cloud-based services. The framework is offered via an online catalogue known as the Digital Marketplace. Spinnaker Support said that it was vetted, and quality checked before its renewal in the Digital Marketplace tender exercise was made during the summer. The G-Cloud 12 framework lot 3 cloud support is expected to offer opportunities via its normal Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) contract notice. Spinnaker Support claims to cater to public sector entities across the globe along with more than 1,200 mixed industry businesses. The company further claims that its third-party business model helps in generating considerable cost savings on Oracle and SAP annual support contracts. Spinnaker Support vice president and EMEA general manager Martin Biggs said: “My personal drive is to continue delivering this first-class support and reach more local organisations, particularly those within the UK public sector. “My UK team are helping redirect as much spend as possible to public sector services and avoid aiding large software publishers profiting steep margins. “We have the local ability, headcount, and expertise to help restructure IT strategies, put the right shift into digital transformation, and give back the savings organisations need to invest in other areas of their business.” |
