A sewage drainage project was tendered for the Alternate Capital of the province that will benefit 85,000 inhabitants today and 100,000 residents in the next 20 years, with an investment of 278 million pesos.
In the White Room of the Municipality of Río Cuarto, the bidding for the sewerage work was carried out, which will allow the sections of the southern collector to be re-functionalized in two stages; expand the Barrio Alberdi collection network to have 100% coverage in the sector; build a new pumping station in Barrio Bicentenario and carry out works to receive and conduct effluents from future networks in Banda Norte
The work, consisting of four items, will benefit 85,000 inhabitants today and 100,000 residents in the next 20 years, for an estimated official budget of $ 278,827,530.14.
The first item deals with the “Refunctionalization of the South Collector I and II Stage”, which with a budget of $ 44,886,288.06 and a stipulated period of 6 months of construction, will allow increasing the sewage liquid conduction capacity of said collector and expand coverage in the area, benefiting the Pizarro, Casanovas, Castelli II, Hospital, Alberdi Sur neighborhoods and the entire South sector in the future.
The second refers to the "Barrio Alberdi sewage collection networks", which will allow the existing network to be expanded to 100% of the sector, so that more people have access to the home network. It will be made up of pipes of different diameters, manholes in the roadway and manholes, which will require an investment of $ 78,804,698.26 and a completion period of 10 months.
The third will be the execution of a “New pumping station in Barrio Bicentenario”, which will replace the existing one and will allow increasing the evacuation capacity of sewage from the Center and Northeast sectors of the city, with a budget of $ 59,921,783, 40 and 9 months of execution.
Finally, the “Basic Work in Barrio Banda Norte” will be carried out, which includes everything necessary to receive and conduct sewage from future networks in the Northeast Sector of the city, in the neighborhoods: Las Delicias, Los Paraísos, Palmeras Norte , Los Aromos, Agec, Jardín Norte, Travelers Center and new subdivisions, among others; for an amount of $ 95,214,760.42 and an execution period of 18 months.
In this regard, the Secretary of Public Services, Alberto Bresciano, said: “We are very happy to have held this tender, so important for the town of Río Cuarto; the works to be carried out have an estimated execution time of 18 months and will allow the Province to continue bringing sewer services to the people of Córdoba, generating great well-being and an improvement in the quality of life. ”
