ZAGREB (Croatia), March 12 (SeeNews) - Croatias biggest telecommunications services provider, Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A], said it is proposing to pay a dividend of 8 kuna ($1.19/1.06 euro) per share from its 2019 net profit, higher than last years payout of 7 kuna per share.
The proposal will be put to the vote at a general shareholders meeting to be held on April 29, Hrvatski Telekom (HT) said in a statement on Wednesday.
The telco plans to distribute as dividend some 90.2% of last years net profit, or 646 million kuna, it said.
Record date is May 7, the ex-dividend date will be May 6.
Last year, HTs shareholders approved a dividend of 7 kuna per share from the companys 2018 net profit, or an overall 569 million kuna. However, they also distributed an additional dividend of 3 kuna per share from retained earnings, paying out a further 244 million kuna.
HTs consolidated net profit decreased to 743 million kuna in 2019 from 1.04 billion kuna in 2018.
The company is 51.4%-owned by Deutsche Telekom.
Its shares did not trade at opening on the Zagreb bourse on Thursday, after closing 2.99% lower at 168 kuna on Wednesday. |
