Work Detail SECI will soon be issuing tender documents for 3 solar projects to be developed at Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in Telangana. The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has announced that it will soon be issuing tender documents for 3 solar power projects to be developed at the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in Telangana. The first tender will be issued for the Design, Engineering, Supply, Construction, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of a 34 MW (AC) ground-based solar PV power plant at different sites at SCCL in Telangana. The project developers will also be required to provide10 years of comprehensive plant Operation and Maintenance (O&M). The Second tender will be issued for Design, Engineering, Supply, Construction, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of 32 MW (AC) solar PV power plant on overburden (OB) at different sites of SCCL and will include 10 years of plant O&M. The third tender will be issued for Design, Engineering, Supply, Construction, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of 15 MW floating solar PV power plants at different sites including 10 years plant O&M at Singareni Collieries Company Limited in Telangana. As per the SECI notification, the tender documents for the three projects will be uploaded to the Central Public Procurement Portal (CPPP), later this month. In April 2019, SECI had issued a similar Notice Inviting Tenders (NIT) for the commissioning of solar power projects worth 100 MW under different packages including 10 years plant O&M at SCCL, Telangana. However, failing to garner high interest the tender deadline was extended in June, and the capacity reduced to 90 MW. The tender had then been successfully bidded and won by Adani Infra, and is currently under construction. Prior to that in January 2019, BHEL had won the order for setting up 129 MW solar power plants at SCCL. Significantly, valued at Rs 565 crore, it was the largest SPV power plant order won by BHEL at the time. The plants are to be set up at four locations in Telangana – Ramagundam (50 MW), Yellandu (39 MW), Manuguru (30 MW) and Pegadapally (10 MW).
