The President led the event with the Minister of Public Works, Gabriel Katopodis, and with the head of AYSA, Malena Galmarini.
President Alberto Fernández led an announcement in San Fernando for people in work cooperatives to carry out small public works. It will be the second visit of the President in the conurbano since the beginning of his administration.
Fernándezs management seeks to give impetus to plans that guarantee extra income to people in vulnerable situations or who receive social plans and assistance from the State. But, in the Government they did not want to formalize the name that the new program will have nor provide details of how its implementation will be.
«It is a project to give work to the lower income sectors, through small public works. In many matters, the ball must be stopped for six months, to evaluate background policies. But many people cannot wait for that time because they have to bring a plate of food. That is the President’s priority, ”they said in the Casa Rosada.
Fernández led the event with the Minister of Public Works, Gabriel Katopodis and with the head of AYSA, Malena Galmarini. The state company is expected to inaugurate another stage of the "Sewer + Work" and "Water + Work" plans to extend the sewer network and services to vulnerable neighborhoods. These are programs already in force, in which AYSA provides financing and training, while the municipality hires labor cooperatives, which are those that provide labor.
Fernández landed in a family territory for massism. The act officiated at the headquarters of Voluntary Firefighters of San Fernando, was attended by the mayor, Juan Andreotti, of the Renovator Front, who succeeded his father in December.
On the day of his assumption, Andreotti had been accompanied by Sergio Massa, Katopodis and Galmarini.
At the beginning of the month, Fernández had performed his first act in the conurbation with a visit to Tres de Febrero, the municipality commanded by Diego Valenzuela, of Together for Change.
The incorporation of people in vulnerable situations to work plans is one of the objectives announced by the Government. Official sources indicated that they intend to generate connections with jobs in the areas of "small recycled public works, textile work, care economy and small-scale food production."
