The work is contemplated within the improvement plan of the RN 9, with highway and safe route, through a new route that will border the city to avoid entering the center and continue along the route. The road improvement project that the National Government plans to face on National Route No. 9 will include the construction of a new bridge that will cross the Dulce River in Las Termas de Río Hondo, until it ends at the route at the exit of the tourist city, Road to Tucumán. This was confirmed in a dialogue with Radio Panorama, the NOA Regional Manager of National Roads, Eng. Francisco Bloser, detailing new aspects that will be included in the project of the announced work on the highway between Las Termas and Tucumán, “scheduled to be tendered in the first quarter of 2019 », as indicated. «From Santiago to Termas, road widening works, paved benches and overpass lanes will be made, which in some cases will have up to 3 lanes, to facilitate especially the passage of trucks and other large vehicles and give greater fluidity to transit, ”said the official. In this context, he deepened: «in Las Termas de Río Hondo, we are seeing an alternative step so that large vehicles do not have to enter the city so as not to interfere with tourist traffic». Bloser said that the study of this road project, will involve building a new bridge over the Rio Dulce, and what is contemplated is to do it to the southeast of Termas, downstream of the current bridge. New layout This new work contemplates making a new route from Route 9, which will begin its detour in the area known as La Aguada, 2 kilometers before entering the city, a route that after crossing the alternative bridge will border the Ejido de Termas until it ends again on the RN Nº 9, at the exit of the city, on the way to Tucumán. The official considered that «the city of Termas has a very particular attraction towards all tourism, with which, light vehicles will mostly go through the city, and whoever has no interest, can dodge the city and go through the pass external, ”he commented. Road decongestion Attentive to the great congestion that the city has, especially in times of greater tourist movement, Bloser said that making a new alternative access, “is a necessary work, since the vast majority of cities have it, they avoid passing through the city , and follow an external path as an alternative path that is very necessary, ”exemplified the NOA Regional Manager of National Roads. Financing As reported in due course, the works on Route 9 are contemplated within the Private Public Participation (PPP) plan promoted by the National Government through the Belgrano Plan, and responds to stage 2 of all road works, which are scheduled to be tendered during the first quarter of next year.
