Turkey – Tuesday, 14 January 2020 - As part of its project: “Rehabilitation of the Medium and Low Voltage Grid in Urban, Sub-urban and Rural Communities in a Northern District in Aleppo, the SRTF Management Unit (MU) delivered various protection clothing, safety tools & equipment for workers engaged in maintenance works of electricity networks in Aleppo’s northern countryside today. The protection clothes consisted of; safety glasses, helmets, reflecting jackets, protective work suits, raincoats, working & safety shoes, as well as, plastic rain boots and belts. The equipment included voltage detectors, led flashlights, concrete pole and wood pole climbers and digital laser distance rangefinders. Worth a total budget of EUR 1.6 million, the project is expected to directly benefit 50,000 people residing in the targeted areas.
