Under the directives from HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain, the kingdom’s Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs, and Urban Planning has launched a series of service development projects.
The projects, which aim to improve the quality of municipal services across the kingdom, were rolled out in collaboration with the Council of Representatives.
According to the Bahrain News Agency, the projects will support the achievement of development goals set by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs, and Urban Planning, Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf visited the Block 360 roads development project in Zinj, along with MP Ahmed Al-Salloum.
The minister said that the project included the renovation of roads 6023, 6025, 6026, 6013, and 6015, in addition to Avenue 66. He added that the rainwater drainage network will also be set up at these projects.
Additionally, he stressed that the Avenue 66 project and the inclusion of parking spaces project was still being studied.
According to the minister, the Bahrain Tender Board has issued a $1.9m (BHD707,196) tender for these projects, adding that procedures were being taken to award the project in preparation for the start of the implementation process |
