The Railway Infrastructure Manager (Adif) has awarded an amount of 999,017.24 euros (VAT included) for the consulting and assistance services contract for the control of the platform works of the Riofrío Viaduct section on the conventional Bobadilla-Granada- line Loja variant, which will be integrated into the Antequera-Granada High Speed ??Line in the future.
As reported by the Ministry of Transportation, Mobility and Urban Agenda in a press release, the purpose of this contract is the provision of assistance and consulting services for the execution of the necessary technical and economic support to the construction manager in the monitoring and control of the correct execution of the works, according to the quality, environmental and safety conditions established in current regulations.
The contract, which has an execution period of 28 months, has been awarded to the company Technical Office of Studies and Control of Works (Ofiteco).
The works linked to this contract will allow the construction of a first platform section of the Loja variant itself. The route has an approximate length of 1.7 kilometers of double track for exclusive passenger traffic.
The project includes the execution of infrastructure works, drainage works, structures, replacement of services and affected easements. The superstructure (track) and signaling, electrification and communications facilities will be the subject of other contracts.
According to the Ministry, this action may be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (Feder Funds) through the Spanish Multi-Regional Operational Program 2014-2020, Thematic Objective 7: Sustainable transport. |
