O2 IT Services won the public contract for the support and development of the Automated Tax Information System (ADIS) for the years 2020 to 2023. On Thursday, spokesman of the financial administration Petr Habán informed. ADIS is used for tax administration. The contract worth a maximum of 1.4 billion crowns is the first open tender in ADIS history.
So far, the only supplier of ADIS has been IBM. In August, the state signed a contract with the state to acquire ADIS property rights from it during 2023.

“We have taken another step towards the definitive transfer of all ADIS rights to state ownership. The share of a single vendor, IBM, will be significantly lower in ADIS-related services over the years than has been the case so far, ”said Tatjana Richter, Chief Financial Officer.
By 2023, IBM will still be the guarantor of the operation of ADIS and its functionality as a whole. "On the other hand, O2 IT Services will be able to provide ADIS development during this period only with the constraints that are necessary for IBM to guarantee the functionality of the entire system," the spokesman said.
According to the financial administration, the automated tax information system is based on an outdated development environment and does not meet the requirements of a modern information system. It is an element of critical state infrastructure.
During the existence of ADIS, the state of IBM has paid more than nine billion crowns. The Supreme Audit Office has repeatedly criticized the dependence on one exclusive supplier resulting from the 1992 contracts.
O2 IT Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of O2, owned by PPF, the wealthiest Czech group, Petr Kellner. O2 IT Services was established by the O2 Professional Services Division at the beginning of 2016.
In particular, the company designs and creates customer solutions in the field of information and communication technologies and performs important public contracts. For example, it is a subcontractor of the data mailbox system for Czech Post or operates information systems at the Ministry of Agriculture. |
