The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has envisaged upgradation of the airport in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh on design, build (DB) basis. The project will entail an investment of Rs 327.40 crore.
The project will spread over 49.8 acre of land and include construction of link taxiway (650 x 23 mtr) with 10.5 mtr shoulder on either side of taxi track, construction of apron 155.5 mtr x 139 mtr, one and a half level integrated terminal building of 16,700 sq mtr for 700 peak-hour capacity, among other works.
In February 2014, the project received the state government approval. In the same month the government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the company to execute the project. In May 2018, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) accorded Terms of Reference (ToR) for the project.
As per the latest information available with Projects Today, geo-technical investigation work for the project has been completed. |
