Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Spain (PortSEurope) August 15, 2019 – Hamilton and Co has applied to Autoridad Portuaria de Las Palmas (APP – Port Authority of Las Palmas) for the concession of a plot in the Nelson Mándela Dock” to occupy a plot of 40,077 m², destined for a logistics base to provide integral services to the off-shore business.
Hamilton plans an investment of around €10 million in the plot that can handle heavy machinery and large tonnage parts. In this area, which Hamilton is already using with temporary authorization, a ship, a staking area for risers, and inspection will also be built, and will allow a central purchasing and spare parts for the platforms.
In 1957 Hamilton and Cia was established in the island of Gran Canaria to provide a range of shipping services.
Hamiliton provides services to support the oil and gas business off the coast of West Africa, specialised in handling all type of vessels related to this business.
As a shipping agent, the company provides port clearance, pilotage, mooring/unmooring, tugs requirements, stevedoring and cargo operation of supply vessels, rig cargo logistics (sea & air freights), warehousing, clearance and delivery.
