Work Detail | The Duval County Public School District is selling used laptops to enrolled students at a mere $50 each. Right now only 500 laptops are available for that price and they are being sold on a first come first serve basis. To purchase one, parents can register online by clicking here and buy a laptop there via credit or debit card. They also have the option of buying the laptop in person at the DCPS headquarters, at 1701 Prudential Drive, on Friday morning between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. They will only accept cash at the headquarters and you are required to bring your child's student I.D. card. Once purchased, you can pick up the laptop on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week at Wolfson High between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. The school is located on 7000 Powers Avenue. The laptops are re-imaged Lenovo Thinkpad T410 14.1 Notebooks, with Intel core i5 2.40GHZ processors and 160 GB hard drives. DCPS students are eligible for a free operating system upgrade and Office. DCPS may make more laptops available later on in the school year. |
