Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 28 (UNI) Kerala Government released the revised guidelines for procurement and deployment of IT equipments for schools and offices under General Education Department, using government funds including of MPs, MLAs and LSGs, an official statement said on Sunday.
The revised order details on the maximum
price, minimum specification and the service conditions to be strictly adhered in deploying IT equipments to schools, Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) Vice Chairman and Executive Director, K Anvar Sadath said.
Mr Sadath further said that equipments such as laptop, projector, screen, USB speaker, projector mounting kit and LED television were included in the guidelines.
The laptops were to be deployed in schools considering their portability, power backup and minimal power consumption features.
The distributors have to demonstrate the working of the equipments before the Head Master and IT Coordinator at the time of their deliver)* at schools.
According to the statement, details such as the installation date, warranty period, contact details of firm or personnel for service etc have to be displayed in all the equipments.
Further more, the schools were required to display the list of equipments received under each scheme, year and source of funds.
The firms who deploy the equipments to schools should ensure the availability of Call Centre number and Webportal address for registering the complaints, the statement further said. |
