The Administrative Body of the Port of Santa Fe (EAPSF) opened the envelopes corresponding to three public tenders to carry out infrastructure works in the port of the provincial capital.
The tendered works will be concretized with funds from the provincial government, through an agreement signed last June, and correspond to the setting up and reconstruction of the slope in the Container and General Cargo Terminal, and the setting up of the Multipurpose Terminal .
The works “are necessary to move from a small container terminal, to a functional one with the possibility of projection. It is necessary to think that during five years the terminal was not used and the growth of the international market does that today it is not profitable nor allows certain operations ”, explained the president of the Entity, Sebastián Simez.
The executive estimated that the work will begin in October and that "the expectation is that once started, they will not take more than six months."

Local and regional development
Within the framework of the actions carried out by the government of Santa Fe and the EAPSF to reactivate the port and give it operability and competitiveness, there is the entry, collection and dispatch of grain; the enhancement of the Agrogranel Terminal; and the installation of a Closed Circuit television for video surveillance.
In addition, progress is being made in the process to concession the container and general cargo terminal, improvements are made to the American crane and to the Santiago dredger, construction work on the waterfront promenade continues and the proposals obtained by the national competition called for improve the entrance to the port through Dorrego street, among other actions.
Similarly, the opening of envelopes for minor works in the Cargo Terminal has already been completed and the purchase of an X-ray scanner to analyze packages, pallets and loads in a non-intrusive way was tendered. |
