Work Detail | Provincial Minister Sher Ali speaking in Punjab Assembly here Thursday stated that the Asian Development Bank had given loan to complete the delayed schemes in Southern Punjab. He added that the loan will also help cover lapses in projects of TMAS. The minister stated that after survey of Kiyani Commission, 73 illegal plazas were marked in Gulberg Town TMA. He stated that a First Information Report (FIR) was lodged against three plazas in the area and legal Action had been taken against them. The minister told the House that CCTV cameras have been installed on Mall Road by traders and not by the administration. Sher Ali said there were 300 approved stands of Lahore District Government in th city. He said 250 of them were being run by Lahore Parking Company. The laying of annual activity report of Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi Development Authority and Parks & Horticulture Authority, Lahore for 2014-15 was delayed because of pointing of quorum of the House. To a question, the minister stated that there were 2,860 streetlights in District Sahiwal. He said that 22 parks were under the supervision of TMA Authority in Sahiwal. The minister said the government of Pakistan approved Nullah Lai Expressway Project during in 70s. He stated that instructions had been given to owners of dilapidated buildings in Lahore to demolish them. He said it was under Punjab Local Government Ordinance 2001 that Commercialisation Rules 2004 were first enforced. He stated that notices had been served on 181 chemical godowns for taking appropriate steps for safety. He stated that a FIR had been lodged against four godowns for negligence. The minister said there were 70 mobile towers in PP 144 and 47 in PP 145. The house was later adjourned by the chair. |
