MUSCAT - Oman Post, one of the Asiad Group companies, hosted the 28th edition of the GCC Unified Procurement Committee for Postal Supplies and Equipment in Salalah. This meeting is held periodically and lasts for three days to highlight the challenges and opportunities related to the unified procurement procedures in the GCC countries.
Tenders contracts conducted by the postal administrations in each country were reviewed by representatives of postal operators. The meeting also discussed the development and implementation of the work plan of the Committee for the remainder of 2019 in addition to 2020. The list of Oman Post representatives at the meeting included Eng. The committees meetings in the last period contributed to provide better services and high quality products while reducing the cost by trying 10% of the cost of operating materials for various GCC countries, which will help Oman Post to benefit its customers and enable them to take advantage of the best options available in the market .
