The Subsecretariat of Basic Social Infrastructure will start from October with arrangements of different types throughout the province and will cost about 300 million pesos.
The provincial government plans to begin repairing the buildings of more than 200 schools throughout the province in October, as they currently have roof leaks, electrical systems, sewage systems and sanitary connections, among other inconveniences.
In addition, interventions will be made in electrical and heating systems, including boilers in educational buildings that have them.
The works will be done through the modality of zone impact coefficients and will have an investment of almost $ 300 million, which will be financed with entirely provincial funds. They will have an execution period of 300 calendar days in all cases, so they are expected to end in August 2020.
The future works are part of a plan with which the Subsecretariat of Basic Social Infrastructure will benefit more than 100 thousand students of initial, primary, secondary level of all the regionals of the province.
Most of these interventions will be made in Greater Mendoza, but there will also be repairs in schools in the Uco Valley, east and south. In this way, the needs will be met in establishments throughout the provincial territory, including the hostels of Lavalle, Malargüe, General Alvear and San Rafael.
In all cases, the works have been requested for a long time by their respective educational communities, since for various reasons they were postponed or could not be executed.
"We are going to tender the repairs of another 200 schools throughout the province, works that we plan to start executing since October, to finish them in August 2020," said Deputy Director of Maintenance and Repair of schools, Emilio Pastorino.
More than 40 tenders, at the end of August
To complete these tasks, calls will be made for public tendering with more than 40 envelopes openings, in which it is expected that there will be an important call from construction companies and services interested in addressing them.
The economic proposals of the contractors will be revealed the last days of August in the morning.
For the schools of Greater Mendoza, Eastern Zone and Uco Valley, envelope openings will be held in the bidding area of ??the Subsecretariat of Basic Social Infrastructure located at Belgrano 210, PB, Capital Street. While for the establishments of the South zone, the openings will be made in the street Alberdi 37, of San Rafael.
