SmVaK Ostrava commenced liquidation of sewer outlets in two locations in the Karviná region. Waste water will newly be directed to waste water treatment plants.
More than CZK 39 million will require investments into the disposal of sewer outlets in the Podlesí district of Petrvald, to which more than 160 people are connected. A construction of a similar nature in Doubrava in U Komendra, where a new wastewater treatment plant will be built, will cost more than 33 million. There are more than 500 inhabitants connected to four sewer outlets. It should be ready by the middle of next year.
“The reason for realization of both constructions is to improve the environment in terms of wastewater disposal and bringing their disposal in these localities in compliance with the valid legislation.
The current permit for wastewater management by water authorities expires at the end of 2020. Both sites represent a significant contribution to the improvement of the level of the environment and the quality of life in these localities in general, ” says Jan Tlolka , the manager of sewerage systems of SmVaK Ostrava.
The streets Na Svahu and U vodojemu in Petrvald are currently drained by uniform sewer systems, which end with two sewer outlets without cleaning. “During the construction, a new sewage system will be built leading to the sewerage network in Havírov, which will end with a wastewater treatment plant owned and operated by SmVaK Ostrava,” Tlolka describes.
The construction includes the construction of a sewage drainage system in the length of 1018 meters, 89 meters of purge, 28 concrete inspection manholes, 17 polypropylene sewer inspection manholes, sewer connections in a total length of 850 meters and 120 polypropylene connection manholes.
A sewage pumping station with two submersible sludge pumps will be built including the electrical part, measurement and regulation. A polyethylene sewage displacement of 1745 meters will be built, including fittings and lines.
“More than 500 inhabitants are connected to four sewer outlets in the U Komendra locality in Dubrava. The investment will ensure the disposal of wastewater by connecting it to a public sewer and a wastewater treatment plant for 700 equivalent inhabitants, which will be newly built. There will also be about 800 meters of gravity sewer network, ” says Tlolka. |
