Work Detail Insituform Technologies has been awarded a wastewater rehabilitation contract, worth $5.7m, by Montgomery Water Works & Sanitary Sewer Board (WWSSB) in Alabama, the US. Insituform Technologies is a subsidiary of Aegion , which is based in Missouri, the US. Insituform has been working with WWSSB on important projects over the last 25 years. It has rehabilitated almost 110 miles of 6- to 54-inch diameter wastewater pipelines in the last decade for WWSSB. Commecing this month, the firm will start rehabilitating over 22,000ft of 18- to 30-inch wastewater pipelines in residential and commercial areas throughout Montgomery using its cured-in-place pipe (CIPP). The project is expected to complete in October 2020. In July, Insituform was awarded a $7.2m wastewater rehabilitation project in Tennessee. The project will end by 2020. In April, Aegion subsidiary Aegion Coating Services was awarded a contract for the robotic joint coating of pipelines in a mine in South America. Insituform was also recently awarded a $10.6m rehabilitation project for wastewater pipelines in Massachusetts along the Merrimack River. Established in 1971, Aegion provides solutions to rehabilitate pipelines for wastewater, energy, mining, refining and water industries. Aegion also maintains the operations of facilities of refineries and other industries.
