Government tendered the construction of complementary pumping stations in Gaiman.
Six bidders were presented, of which 5 met the bidding requirements. The execution period will be 120 calendar days and will require an investment of more than 18 million pesos.
The Government of Chubut, through the Provincial Institute of Water (IPA), carried out the opening of envelopes for Public Tender No. 02/19, corresponding to the construction work for two complementary pumping stations - Irrigation channels in the VIRCh, from the Chubut River to the Main South channel in the Gaiman No. 172 and 125 of Gaiman, within 120 days.
In this regard, the owner of the IPA, Gerardo Bulacios, explained that “the tender was published on the internet, a whole process as marked by Law No. 1 of Public Works. Of the envelopes presented, five meet the bidding requirements and the budgets presented are similar to the Official Budget, which is a little over 18 million pesos. The term of the work is 120 calendar days, in 20 days we will have the award of the work ”.
"We have scheduled this tender for two pumping plants in two farms that are near the river and have the main channel," said the official, adding that "this tender will be a very important work to strengthen the production of the valley, continue making investments, "said the official, while indicating that" it is a concern that Governor Arcioni has, to continue investing in the productive sector of the Chubut River Valley. "
Bulacios also indicated that “the demand for irrigation water has been increasing in recent years, particularly in the area between the southern margin, from Gaiman to Trelew, where there has been an increase in hectares of production, while the transport capacity of the South Main channel is limited, despite the permanent maintenance that is carried out ”, that is why this tender was called for two complementary pumping stations from the Chubut River to the South Main channel in farms 172 and 125”.
Strengthen the productive sector
In this regard, Bulacios stressed that “we are happy, we are fulfilling a mandate from Governor Arcioni, a desire of the Government to strengthen the productive sector, increase the capacity of our Valley to continue replacing imports, replace what is made of the north, about All fruit and vegetables. Our Valley has to be a substitute for that, to generate more added value and more work in the region. |
