The Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (ADP) has announced the provision of affordable licensing services through Abu Dhabi Government Services (ADM) in partnership with Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADA), in a move to introduce innovative and fast-paced technologies to provide instant licensing services for small energy projects in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The immediate licenses to be issued by TAM will include a number of benefits, including a two-year free license through TAMs website, under very easy terms, and in accordance with simplified evaluation procedures, with no more than one working day. The Department is keen to provide these services in its commitment to provide an integrated experience for customers on the one hand and support the process of digital transformation in government services in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi on the other hand. The list of activities for which the owners can obtain this license includes the production, processing and desalination of water, electricity generation and solar power generation with a production capacity of not more than (50 kWp) per facility, and the collection, treatment, recycling and disposal of wastewater including gray water , Storage, distribution and supply of electricity and water for the purpose of self-supply, and the distribution, supply, sale and purchase of water by tanks, collection and disposal of wastewater by tanks. The Energy Department is responsible for proposing strategic and executive plans for the energy sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The areas covered include oil and gas, electricity and water, sanitation, central cooling and clean and renewable energy sources of all kinds. |
