Huelva, Spain (PortSEurope) July 11, 2019 – Ferrovial SA, a Spanish multinational transport infrastructure company, has signed a contract with Autoridad Portuaria de Huelva (APH – Port Authority of Huelva) for the northern extension of the South Pier of the port.
APH President Pilar Miranda said that the contract was for one of the most important works for the future development of the port, allowing the port to increase its capacity to handle increasing general merchandise volumes. The South Pier will see berthing capacity increase by 525 linear metres with the possibility of 17 metres of draft, for container and Ro-Ro vessels.
