Work Detail |
The Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation has firmed up plans to revive the long-pending Attukal sewage project. The sewage project was first envisaged in 2009 under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), connecting Attukal, Kalady, Ambalathara, Kalippankulam and Nedumcaud.
Though the land acquisition for the same was completed back then, the project did not take off. As part of the project, pumping stations will come up at Kalady, Kalady South, Attukal and Kalladimukham, and the sewage line will be connected to the Muttathara sewage treatment plant.
The Kerala Water Authority has been asked to prepare a detailed project report (DPR). It has also been decided to write to the Revenue Department regarding the survey and demarcation of the land acquired by the Corporation for the project. The survey is expected to be held on 20 May 2019. |
