The Administrative Tribunal of Public Procurement of Galicia has decided to provisionally suspend the tender of the street cleaning service of A Coruña , according to this Monday to the Union of Cleaning Workers (STL), majority among the workers. The union believes that the decision of the court "gives them the reason" regarding the specifications that regulated the public tender, which, in the opinion of the central, "incurred errors that would threaten the salary conditions of the staff affected."STL had presented on April 8 a special appeal before the hiring court and the City Council decided two days later to provisionally paralyze the bid submission process for the award of the service . As indicated then by the mayor, Xulio Ferreiro, the local government agreed to put the entire process on hold due to discrepancies between the data provided by the company on labor costs and those provided by the union, which denounced that the concessionaire Cespa did not reflect the Actual economic weight of the workforce.
The road cleaning service is one of those that requires the highest public economic outlay, since in the budgets of 2018 it was estimated that more than 11 million euros would be necessary to cover its provision. |
