| Work Detail | Bhopal Mayor Alok Sharma on Wednesday inaugurated the service road construction work on both the sides of the main road starting from Savarkar bridge to Board office with an estimated cost of `5 crore. Besides, the beautification work from Savarkar Bridge Ganesh mandir to Board office Square would also take place. Local MP Alok Sanjar, MLA Surendranath Singh, BMC Chairman Surjeet Singh Chouhan, Leader of Opposition Mohammed Saghir, members of Mayor- in-Council, Corporators, BMC officials and citizens remained present during the inauguration. Mayor directed the officials to remove the encroachments of the service road and the beautification work should be completed in the standard of quality in six months. BMC would construct 15 meters wide service road on both the sides of the main road. Along with the service road footpath, cycle track, utility duct and culverts on the nallah would also be constructed. Sharma showed his gratitude towards Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan saying that the Savarkar Bridge was constructed only with his initiative. The service road would make the transportation easy and safe for the residents. The process to make Habibganj railway station, a world class station has also been started. A park would also be developed along with the beautification works. All these works would also remove the hurdles in traffic and it would also reduce the number of road accidents. MP Alok Sanjar appreciated the development and beautification works done by the Mayor Sharma. He showed his gratitude towards PM, Rail Minister and CM for making Habibganj Railway Station a world class railway station. MLA Surendranath Singh said that the service road will provide beautifulness to the area and it will make the transportation easy. Corporation council Chairman Surjeet Singh Chouhan said that after beautification this road would be the most beautiful road of Bhopal. |
