The project to defend the city from the floods of the Paraná River includes the construction of a ring that will enclose practically 90% of the population and will cover the current temporary embankments, as officially reported.
The national government will invest 370 million pesos in the execution of works to mitigate the floods that frequently affect the town of Villa Paranacito and that will benefit thousands of neighbors and rural producers in the region.
The agreement signed by the Minister of the Interior, Public Works and Housing of the Nation, Rogelio Frigerio, and the governor of Entre Ríos, Gustavo Bordet, contemplates a system of storm drains, a pumping station of the internal pluvial surplus and two sewers with floodgates.
There will also be a readjustment of the existing drainage system and the sewage pumping station with treatment lagoons.
In addition, with the purpose of avoiding the deterioration of the coast caused by the waves of the boats, a sheet pile will be built in the area of ??the hospital and the waterfront on the margin of the La Tinta Stream and the Paranacito River.
