Work Detail The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) will hold a supplier ‘walk through’ tomorrow of the bid pack for the forthcoming Network Services 2 framework. The framework, RM3808, is for the provision of telecommunications and network services and replaces the current agreement Network Services (RM1045) which expires at the end of July 2019. The new framework has services under 13 lots: data access; local connectivity; traditional telephony; inbound telephony; IP telephony; mobile voice and data; paging and alerting; video conferencing; audio conferencing; unified communications; radio; security and surveillance; and contact centres. CCS said the framework is intended to meet the needs of its buyers by enabling a “diverse marketplace with the right mix of suppliers, maximising competition and driving value for money.” It said tomorrow’s event will focus on the Network Services 2 bid pack and its attachments: the Selection Questionnaire, Award Questionnaire and Pricing Matrix. A subsequent session will be held on January 7. The framework will last four years and is for the provision of telecommunications and network services by the whole of the UK Public Sector and associated bodies and agencies. CCS said the scope includes services which provide the main functionality of a Lot, associated technology, equipment and solutions and optional goods and services that enhance, supplement or support the delivery of the services; and services delivered over the public internet, private networks, the Public Services Network and/or the Health & Social Care Network. The framework’s terms will be based on standard government terms, with some modifications following dialogue with the networking suppliers group Innopsis. CCS said the competition criteria are expected to be focused more around quality (85% of the scoring) than simply price (15%). The framework also mandates that suppliers must have cyber essentials. CCS has also released an Education Technology (RM6103) framework which includes two lots for the provision of network connectivity services to education focused organisations.
