Work Detail | The scandal surrounding the Clinton Foundation as a money laundering operation for the Clinton family has been very much in the news. While some Clinton retainers such as James Carville claims that the foundation does a lot of good works in the Third World, the fact of the matter is that it is under investigation for the pay to play operation it was used for to enrich the Clinton family. Now, Fox News personality Eric Bolling has upped to ante just a little by demanding that #Hillary Clinton use the Clinton Foundation’s vast resources to help the people of flooded Louisiana. The problem is that Hillary Clinton gives no one any help unless it is to her advantage. Louisiana is going to vote for Donald Trump, especially after he showed up at Baton Rouge with a truck full of relief supplies he paid for out of his own pocket and some much-appreciated encouragement to the devastated locals. Clinton would rather cut her wrists that to go to Louisiana and pretend to have sympathy with people who just lost everything. Even diverting a few million from the immense pile of cash the Clinton Foundation possesses would stick in her craw. Better to ask Gollum to hand over the One Ring. One solution, if Hillary can stand to part with some of the money, is to send former President Bill Clinton to Louisiana to deliver the check. Bill Clinton can feign any emotion without even thinking about it. He can glad hand with the locals, swap stories, tell dirty jokes, pretend to listen to the troubles of others, and check out the women while his wife stays away from the stench of the hoi polloi. He is Robert Baratheon to her Cersei Lannister. Bill can have a great time being in the spotlight once again while Hillary can dream of sitting on the Iron Throne and taking revenge for a lifetime of humiliations and insults. Then again, perhaps the Clintons imagine that Hillary is so far ahead of Trump that they don’t even have to bother to care about the people she proposes to govern. That may be a case of hubris preceding nemesis. |
