In a missive issued to the Muscat bourse, SMN said the fire damaged “LV breakers controlling the water desalination plant”, as a result of which the facility has shut down. “The site operations and maintenance team started restoration activities immediately in order to bring the plant back in operation as soon as possible,” the statement continued. “As soon as an accurate timing for the start-up of water desalination operations is available, the company will provide an update on any further material impact.” |
