Work Detail The Department of Support Services for Recruitment in the Directorate General of Passports organized a seminar on the project of fingerprinting and vital data, conducting medical examination and signing work contracts for expatriates, which were attended by officials and employees of Qatar Petroleum in Dukhan Region. It was presented by Captain Nasser Ali Al Khalaf, Head of Attributes Department, Nomani Head of Technical Studies Department. At the beginning of the seminar, Captain Nasser Ali Al-Khalaf gave a presentation on the project, stressing that it aims at facilitating recruitment procedures in general, protecting the rights of expatriates, ensuring their safety and facilitating all procedures for their entry into the country. He said that the project targets employment from eight countries by setting up 20 service centers (the Qatar Visa Centers Abroad), Sri Lanka with one center in Colombo and Indonesia with three centers in Jakarta, Semarang, Bandung and Nepal with one center in Kathmandu and the Philippines with three centers In Manila, Cebu and Devaou, Tunisia with one hub in Tunisia and Pakistan with two centers in Karachi and Islamabad and India with seven centers in Mumbai, Delhi, Cochin, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Chennai and Bangladesh with two centers in Dhaka and Selhait. He stressed that the administration opened the first project center in Sri Lanka on October 12, which should provide companies to the Sri Lankan labor to recruit workers through this center and the new electronic mechanism. He explained that the services provided by the project are fingerprinting for the expatriate worker, registration of vital data, conducting medical examinations, signing the contract of employment through a unified channel and a more transparent and responsible recruitment system. He said that the Ministry of Interior is seeking to expand the scope of the project in the future by including all the procedures of the other visa categories in this project until it becomes mandatory for any visa applicant to conduct medical examinations and capture vital fingerprints and conduct all other tests before entering the territory of the state. For his part, Lieutenant-Colonel Khalid Salem Al-Numani called upon all Sri Lankan manpower agencies to familiarize themselves with the new recruitment mechanism through the Ministry of Interior website and Matrash 2 service, which included facilitating the recruitment procedures in general and protecting the rights of expatriates from employment and ensuring the speed of completing their transactions immediately after they enter the country. And the provision of integrated electronic services in a civilized manner characterized by sophistication, speed and ease.
