Work Detail This year, one of the important projects of CEZ Distribuce in the Karlovy Vary Region continues. This is the middle voltage unification, which is the most significant in terms of power transmission. This project contains several tens of sub-investment buildings that will move from a voltage level of 10 kV to a voltage level of 22 kV. This year there will be 40 transformer stations, half of which are connected to a higher voltage level. The amount invested in the unification of Karlovy Vary in 2018 is 58.7 million CZK. "This change will significantly reduce the failure rate, increase the stability and capacity of the distribution network at the high voltage level," explains Pavel Šolc, a member of the Board of Directors of CEZ Distribuce. As part of this project, CEZ Distribuce introduces modern technology, for example in the form of remote controlled and measured switchgear stations, which allow a rapid and variable switching of the distribution network in case of power outages. "By obtaining online data on the state and condition of our distribution network, we will prevent failures and the process of connecting new supply points will be accelerated," adds Pavel Šolc. The project started with preparatory work already in 2014 and is divided into several stages. At present 22 kV pipelines are connected from the village of Brezová near Karlovy Vary to the summer cinema and from the Tuhnice substation on the 22 kV substation are connected another six metropolitan trains to Solivárna, where the newly built switching station at the roundabout on the embankment of the Liberators . This year, the energy workers joined the transformer stations in the Vyhlídka, Petrín, Pražská, Bellevue, Sanssouci, Richmond, Spa 1, Pupp, Myslivna, Diana, Imperial, Škroupova, Dvorak, Tylova, Cable, Theater, Ostrava, Vyšehradská, Moravská, Kolmá. In the autumn, unification works will continue in the Križíkov localities; Pod Jelenem, Albion, Zámecký vrch, Ondrejov, Petra Velikého, Sadová, Bristol, Bohemia spa, Ulrika, Military Spa, Colonnade, White Cross, Sokolák, Podebradská, Lázne 4, Zahradní, Thermal, . On the enclosed map are marked transformer stations, in which in 2018 the transition from the voltage level of 10kV to the level of 22kV and the routes where the laying of the new 22kV cable line will take place. Specifically, these are the streets of Peter the Great, Chateau Hill, Krále Jirího, Podebradská, Tylova, Libušina, Husovo námestí, Mariánskolázenská, Slovenská, U Imperial, Jarní, Balbínova and partly Prague. In total, 6.32 km of new cables will be laid in 2018. The works are realized with respect to the spa season and the International Film Festival. The whole of this complex project is coordinated with the City of Karlovy Vary Municipality and its competent authorities. To the maximum extent, technicians and assemblers are trying to back up existing stations and eliminate the number of restrictions on the supply of electricity to our clients. More detailed information about planned shutdowns can be found on the website www.cezdistribuce.cz or after registering to the Distributed Internet Portal (DIP), anyone can provide their e-mail address and will be informed by e-mail in case of outage at a specific supply point. On the CEZ Distribuce website, we will also find an overview of important planned buildings of our company that are relevant to the development of the Karlovy Vary Region.
