Work Detail |
In the summer, the European Union received the last money for sewage and sewage treatment plants for municipalities and other owners of water infrastructure. Those interested in the last call of the Operational Program Environment will not be financially supported by the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic. It will open a special grant for them in the National Environment Program.
The practically the last money for the construction of sewage and sewage plants from the Operational Program Environment (OPE) in this programming period could be requested by mayors and water managers in the autumn of last year in the 71st call. Interest in subsidies was enormous. The State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic received a record 214 applications in three months with a requirement of CZK 7 billion, which tripled the amount set to three times.
Although some projects have successfully passed the evaluation, due to their great interest, there are no funds left in the OPE. So, "below the line" remained over fifty requests. Environment Minister Richard Brabec has previously promised that the municipalities whose projects were included in the stockpile will offer the possibility to receive support from the national funds of the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic. It is now fulfilling its promise, and since September 1, a call for the National Environment Program will be opened for these successful applicants. The subsidies can be used by municipalities under the same conditions as the OPE.
The new call, in which CZK 1.7 billion is prepared, is only for projects submitted and fulfilled the conditions of acceptability and factual evaluation under the 71st OPE call and also included in the project stack. Applications for support are received by the State Environmental Fund from 1 September to 1 October 2018.
