On Wednesday 5 September, the first applicants for a garden compostor signed a contract with the city to allocate it. Within the framework of the action of the City of Prague, of Prague to support domestic composting is prepared by 1,750 composters.
All registered project participants interested in the compost will be approached by the city in the autumn of this year and will be invited to sign a loan agreement and subsequent takeover of the compost.
Participants will be invited to sign the contract by means of an email, SMS text messages, or a letter stating where, and where, they will be presented.
Tracking will take place in groups, so as to prevent the creation of queues at signing points, if possible. To sign the contract, the participants must be present personally at the City Hall. (Skoda Palace), Jungmannova 29/35, Praha 1. For the purpose of this purpose, three countertops are provided on the ground floor of the palace, serviced by the Department of Waste of the Department of Environmental Protection of the City of Prague. m. "I am glad that citizens of Prague have shown an interest in garden composters. At the same time, I could see that signing the contracts yesterday was fine. I would like to ask the approved applicants to try to meet the employees of the Environmental Protection Department and to observe the deadlines for signing the contract and issuing the compost itself, " said the City Councilor. As a dispensing point for composting, the collecting yards of the hl. m. Prague. For the time being, there are only two collecting yards, namely the collecting yard of Hl. m. Prague in the street K Cihelne in the territory of the Prague - Satalice district and a collection yard at the Pražské služby area in Pod Šancemi street in Prague 9. The number of outlets will be extended to the left bank of the Vltava river during the delivery of the composters.
Composters were purchased by the City under support from the Operational Program Environment 2014-2020, Priority Axis 3 with Specific Objective 3.1 - Waste Prevention. On the basis of the announced Challenge, the City asked for funds to be provided as measures to prevent the occurrence of biodegradable municipal waste in the City of Prague. m. Prague.
A total of 1,750 pieces of composting, 1,400 pieces of one chamber compartments with a volume of 1,000 and 350 pcs of double-chamber with a volume of about 2000 l were purchased.
