The tender for the construction of the boiler room was won by CEZ Energetické služby, the daughter of CEZ ESCO. "Czech companies are investing heavily in their development during the current growth of the economy, and that also means great opportunities for CEZ ESCO. We design and execute a contract for an OP paper mill, and we are responsible for everything impacting exactly on the customers wishes, " says Michal Židek , CEO of CEZ ESCO , CEO of Industrial Energy .
The new boiler room is part of a paper mill investment worth some 150 million euros into a new production line for thin paper. A boiler room with a 36 MW heat output will complete an existing 35 MW boiler room.
"With this investment, the Delfort Group will strengthen its leadership position in the low-printing thin-print paper market over the two-year horizon and meet the growing demands of customers around the world. The new paper machine, which will be created in Olšany, will be equipped with the most modern features and will set new standards in the world of special papers. OP paper mill will increase its production by 100,000 tons per year, " says project manager Ing. Roman Mamula.
"The paper machine will start production in the course of 2020 and at the same time it will be necessary to increase the number of employees by about 30 new jobs at all levels, both workers and technicians. This investment will ensure the long-term production of paper in Olšany and guarantee the maintenance of jobs not only in the plant, but also in the supply companies. "
One of the important requirements regarding the boiler room was, besides the high efficiency of the boiler, also environmental friendliness. The installed technology is the most modern of its kind. Emissions of nitrogen dioxide will not exceed 60 mg / Nm 3 , well below the mandatory limit of 100 mg / Nm 3 .
The boiler output reaches 55 tons of saturated steam per hour and the total guaranteed efficiency of the plant is 99.4 percent. This exceptional value will, among other things, be achieved by installing technology to maximize heat recovery in the flue gas. Their output temperature will reach a guaranteed maximum of 57 ° C.
"At present, we are working on the implementation of the project documentation, the start of our own construction is planned in the spring of next year and at the beginning of 2020 we plan to run the boiler plant in full operation. We, of course, closely coordinate the key milestones of the project, following the process of building and starting a new paper machine, " adds Jirí Vágner from CEZ ESCO, who is in charge of the job.
CEZ ESCO is currently also modernizing the boiler room of another leading Czech industrial representative. In Spolana Neratovice, it is building a new steam source for the operation of the premises. The investment reaches 200 million crowns .
