Security forces officers raided the offices of the Public Procurement Committee of the Republic of Dagestan, as a result of which certain documents were seized. This is reported by the local publication Chernovik, while the security agencies refused to comment on the situation. At the end of June 2018, the head of the Committee changed: Jafar Gadzhibekov replaced Omargadzhi Aliyev. He focused his colleagues attention on multiple violations when concluding public procurement contracts, which can be avoided by working closely with the FAS Directorate. Aliyev headed the committee established in 2013 for only 10 months. The result was 186 gross violations in the implementation of 163 public procurement contracts, according to the regional FAS. At the same time, the treasury illegally transferred about 2.4 billion rubles ($ 36 million). |
