Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) says Dubais tourism growth will see it sign more district cooling contracts within the hospitality sector.
To date, the company, which calls itself the worlds largest district cooling services firm, has provided more than 120 Dubai hotels with modern and efficient air condition systems, and Empower said this number would grow in the coming years.
This growth will be fuelled by Dubais plan to double the number of tourists visiting the emirate to over 20 million people by 2020.

"We consider hospitality as one of the key sectors for investment and providing sustainable district cooling systems," said Ahmad Bin Shafar, chief executive officer of Empower.
"This directly contributes to the sustainability of the tourism and hospitality sector, through cost savings and adoption of environment-friendly solutions to attract more visitors".
Well-known hotels, such as the Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, already count Empower as the supplier of district cooling services.
For the latter, Empower converted the hotels air cooling system to district cooling for a total capacity of 6,000 refrigeration tonnes (RT).
The firm also worked on The Address Dubai Marina, where it helped the hotel achieve a total capacity of 6,500RT.
