An important component of this development work is the procurement of goods and services through traditional procurement as well as through various forms of innovation procurement. The purchasing department at Karolinska University Hospital carries out purchases and procurement on behalf of the hospitals various activities and supports them in procurement and procurement issues. We cooperate with the countys other hospitals and with Stockholm County Council procurement with coordination of the major needs of goods and services that the county council is facing and where a categorical management work has begun. About the service You will independently plan and carry out procurements in collaboration with experts from the hospitals various activities. Where appropriate, it may be coordinated procurement to cover the needs of several hospitals. The work covers the entire procurement process, from the preparation of specifications to active management and administration of signed agreements. Procurement is often carried out in a project form with the procurer as project manager. Each procurer is responsible for ongoing contacts and expert support in procurement matters to a number of hospital operations. In addition, this service includes active dialogue with the activities regarding supplier and product range issues. You are expected to take active part in the departments various development initiatives regarding the departments working methods and practices, as well as to help educate and inform the activities of current agreements, laws, and procurement and procurement procedures. We are looking for you who are looking for an interest in the good deal and can collaborate with both internal clients and external suppliers to find optimal solutions for the business. You are structured, accurate and have a good judgment, and have the ability to quickly get involved in new tasks. You are expected to be able to work independently with parallel projects and be able to take your own initiative to create drive in the procurement process. You will have a strong commitment to the development of the procurement business as well as your personal, professional development. Major emphasis will be placed on personal fitness and ability to gain confidence, as the work involves many contacts at different levels within the hospital, as well as with suppliers and other external parties. Qualifications You are expected to have relevant education from a college or vocational college with a focus on procurement / purchasing, engineering or economics, alternatively education and experience which we overall consider to be equivalent. Furthermore, you are expected to have relevant experience in working with public procurement / purchasing, preferably in the healthcare sector, as well as having good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act. Experience in working in projects is meritorious. Furthermore, knowledge of the existing routines and products of healthcare is a merit. A prerequisite for the role is that you have a good language ability in speech and writing, in Swedish and English, as well as good computer skills, especially in the Office package and procurement tools such as Trend. The ability to lead work meetings and conduct oral presentations in an educational and trustworthy way is assumed.
