The Public Procurement Office (VPP) has authorized the Ministry of the Environment to purchase services for the reconstruction of Kaunas Zoologys reconstruction projects from Simper and Gediminas Jurevicius studios. The aim is to reduce the estimate of work, which has increased almost 4 times in relation to previous projects. The purchase involves the purchase of services for the exchange of technical projects of a zoo prepared by Simper and Gediminas Jurevicius Studio, which can only be provided by a specific supplier. The Service agrees that the Ministry of the Environment would carry out the purchase by means of silent negotiations by inviting the original project developer , - says VPN. Simper and Gediminas Jurevicius Studio, according to the agreement of 2014, for the first stage of the reconstruction of the garden, prepared 12 technical projects, the construction price of which is estimated at 42.96 million. euro According to the ministry, it is impossible to carry out work on these projects, since the project for renovation of the garden was reduced by LTL 11.6 million. euro According to the Ministry, the correction of technical projects would cost about 165 thousand. The ministry has decided to reduce the collection of stored monkey species and not to buy new monkeys, and in order to optimize the maintenance of the gardens, the list of animal collections is revised, therefore the quantity, dimensions and other requirements can be changed, said the VPN. The ministry decided to take over from the purchase of the Zoo this year, after the court and VPN spoke out of illegality - they recommended the purchase to be discontinued. It was planned that the zoo should have been reconstructed by the end of 2017 and the works would cost 11.584 million. euro The zoo announced two works for the works, which were later discontinued.
